Scholarship
WHO IS ELIGIBLE?
Applicants must be a current Oak Creek High School student who identifies as LGBTQ+, graduates the year that the scholarship is awarded, and will be attending college the following school year.
WHAT IS THE AMOUNT?
A single scholarship in the amount of
$10,000
will be awarded annually.
The Oak Creek Safe Space Scholarship will recognize the academic and service achievements of students at Oak Creek High School who are members of the LGBTQ+ community.
A $10,000 scholarship will be awarded annually to one student at Oak Creek High School who is a member of the LGBTQ+ community and has shown both academic success and has proactively made Oak Creek High School a safe space for LGBTQ+ students.
HOW DO I APPLY ?
A completed application and essay must be submitted to the Oak Creek Scholarship Foundation between January 15 and March 15.
To apply for the scholarship, complete the application on our website and mail the completed application and essay to the Oak Creek Scholarship Foundation.

WHEN IS THE RECIPIENT SELECTED AND NOTIFIED?
The recipient will be selected by April 15 and notified by April 30. The Oak Creek Scholarship Foundation will contact the recipient directly.
HOW WILL I RECEIVE THE
SCHOLARSHIP?
The recipient’s college of choice will receive a check that is made payable to the college for the benefit of the recipient.
The scholarship is presented by the Oak Creek Scholarship Foundation, an organization located in Oak Creek, WI that is dedicated to supporting LGBTQ+ students at Oak Creek High School.
